Tilapia Fish in Coconut Sauce

You know healthy food always includes fish as it is rich in protein and less in fat. I love to eat tilapia fish for these reasons. This fish has lots of benefits like most important is muscle building diet, it helps in reduce blood pressure as it contains omega-3 fatty acid and many more. Here I have a delicious recipe for you, this recipe is good enough for 2 people.

Tilapia fish curry

Ingredients for Coconut Tilapia Fish Curry Recipe:

  • Tilapia fish fillets(2 you can use other fishes as well)
  • Turmeric powder(1tsp)
  • Cumin powder(1/2tsp)
  • Red chili powder(1tsp or you can use according to your taste)
  • Coriander powder(1/2tsp)
  • Garam masala powder(1/2 tsp)
  • Onion (1 ½ medium, make a paste with one onion and finely chop the other half)
  • Ginger garlic paste(1/2tsp)
  • Pasta sauce (2tbsp optional, you can use tomato puree as well)
  • Carrot (1/2 cut into cube size)
  • Mushroom(2-3 cut into 4pieces each)
  • Green peas (1/2 cup)
  • Sweet corn(1/2 cup)
  • Green chili(1-2 slit it into middle)
  • Oil(1tbsp)
  • Salt( as per taste)
  • Coconut milk(1/2 cup)
  • Water(1/2 cup)

How to Make Coconut Tilapia Curry:

  • Wash the fish and marinate with little turmeric powder, salt and leave it for ten to fifteen minute.
  • Add oil to a pan, when oil become hot add the finely chopped onion to it and fry till it turn to transparent color.
  • Add onion paste, ginger garlic paste, rest turmeric, cumin, coriander and chili powder to it and fry it till oil comes out of the masala.
  • Now add the sauce to it, mix it well and allow it to fry another couple of minutes.(if you use tomato instead of pasta sauce you can add it at middle of the onion fry).
  • Now add all the vegetable except corn to this masala, fry and mix it well.
  • Add coconut milk and water to it, mix it well and allow it to boil. You can adjust the gravy according to your wish.
  • When it will start boiling add the marinated fish and boil it till fish become tender. At last add the corn to fish gravy and boil it for one minute.

Now the delicious fish curry is ready to serve. You can serve this with rice, roti or parath. I love to eat this with basmati rice. Hope you will enjoy my fish recipe. If you will come up with a comment, I will appreciate that.
